Art Journal with Kids - Summer Sunflower
My daughter and I started our art journals today. I bought one for each of the kids but I have a feeling it will mostly be the two of us working on them. It was the last day of school today and I told her we would work on them this summer so here we are.....Summer has officially begun!
We drew flowers onto pieces of paper from a French book I bought used in Paris. It is titled "La Qualite De La Vie, Ecologie - Phytotherapie" so I believe it is perfect for these type of little projects. I found a Japanese book yesterday at the Goodwill but I didn't buy it because I want to make sure it doesn't have some horrible subject before I use it for craft projects.
Liquid water colors, pretty tape, blue oil pastel and paint pens (which are now pretty much ruined after using them on top of the oil pastels).
We wrote a couple words that makes us think of summer around the outside of our flower. Hopefully I'll get the boys to join us for the next entry.
