Upcycled Frame Christmas Card Display

Did you get a chance to check out last weeks post about my Christmas Card Display?  It's filling in nicely, thank you to all my friends and family for participating.  I'm going to have to make another one soon to accommodate! This week I'd like to share my display for our personal Christmas Cards.  I apologize it's not totally complete.  I need to reorder a few cards from many years ago, but you get the idea!

I've had this gold frame floating around my house for a few years.  You may have seen it in my home tour, propped up against a mirror over my fireplace.

I got it at the thrift store a few years ago.  (I love leaving tags on)

First I needed to move the metal hanging wire up towards the top of the back so that you couldn't see it when the frame was hung.  This is simple and just required a little predrilled hole, or strong fingers.

Using some ribbon I had on hand, I staple gunned it back and forth about 5 inches apart, securing the end pieces.

There is a stretch of ribbon towards the top and not one at the very bottom, to accommodate the photos and cards to be hung in a viewable location.

Of course this year's card has been added but I don't want to spoil the surprise if it's waiting for you in the mailbox!
